Sensu Brush: Providing a True Painting Experience on Your iPad

Sensu Brush: Providing a True Painting Experience on Your iPad

Sensu Brush – I am impressed.   Before I get into giving you the nuts and bolts (or in this case, bristles and threads) of what Sensu Brush is, and what it does, I want to say that I am astounded that others haven’t thought of this sooner. Seriously.   I mean, I personally still use my Intuos 3 from Wacom which has served me well for the last 5 years.  Same Pen.  Same Mouse.  Same Pad.  The pricepoint for that tablet however was around $300 when it first came out. and.. I couldn’t exactly just take my pen and start drawing on the pad and expect it to do anything.   The Sensu Brush however.. wow, with an iPad 2 at an entry level price of $399, and the Sensu Brush being only $35 (+$5 shipping and handling). You can basically get these two great tecnologies for a 1/4 of what it would normally cost you with the only existing competition (I know of as of writing this) which...

Google Play integrates Google+

Google Play integrates Google+

Google Play integrates Google+   As of today, users of Android and the Google play market are forced to use their Google+ social networks as identification.  It appears to be in an attempt to control reviews found in the Google Play store.  The change in the policy and integration of Google+ will permanently link reviews with the users Google+ social network account. Additionally, a warning message now appears both in the Google Play app and online whenever anyone reviews a download that explains: new entries will be connected to Google+.   Similarly, not too long ago Google made this kind of change to YouTube.  Just make sure whatever you write from this point forward you’re fine with having people know you’re the one who wrote it.  If you’re a troll, then maybe you should go back to hiding under a bridge ;)....

iPhone 5 boosts iOS to 48.1% market share in US

iPhone 5 boosts iOS to 48.1% market share in US

iPhone 5 boosts iOS to 48.1% market share in US   New data from Kantar Worldpanel Comtech shows that iOS has returned as the leader in the US for software market share.  With 48.1% of the market; that put iOS up 25 percent year-over-year. Android, by contrast, slipped from 63.3 percent a year ago to just 46.7 percent.   Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your bias) Android still remains the leader in the rest of the developed world.  In fact, during the latest period the platform had 54.2 percent in Britain, 73.9 percent in Germany, and 81.7 percent in Spain. Kantar credits iOS’ resurgence in the US to the iPhone 5 and suggests that iOS will hold onto its new position for many months. Dominic Sunnebo, a Global consumer insight director of Kantar said,   “The last time we saw iOS overtake Android in the US was when the iPhone 4S was released and Apple managed to retain its lead for three consecutive periods,” says Dominic Sunnebo, a global consumer insight director...

Facebook Privacy statement meme

Facebook Privacy statement meme

Facebook Privacy statement meme   In response to a widespread meme in which users were  posting a string of ‘legalese’ to reserve the sole ownership rights over the content they post to Facebook, the social network has released a statement informing users that they still retain control and ownership of any content and information they post to the site. The notice further adds that, this has ALWAYS been the policy of Facebook and that the rumor warning of a change to content ownership was and is false.  At the same time, Facebook is reworking its governing documents, shifting away from its current voting method toward a more meaningful feedback-oriented system for policy changes. The complete statement is as follows:“There is a rumor circulating that Facebook is making a change related to ownership of users’ information or the content they post to the site. This is false. Anyone who uses Facebook owns and controls the content and information they post, as stated in our terms. They control how that content and information...

App Store Profits | Can you actually earn a living as an indie developer?

App Store Profits | Can you actually earn a living as an indie developer?

Can you actually earn a living as an indie developer?   Everyday more and more indie developers are trying to bank in on what they think will be a hit in Apple’s App Store.  Some even going as far as taking out bank loans, selling their cars, putting it on credit and the like.   But the real question is..   Will becoming a independent mobile app developer really pay off?   Those of us who missed the [dot]com boom are doing everything in our power to make sure we don’t miss this one as all signs ahead point to mobillity; and specifiically mobile apps.   When given serious though about the state of the economy and unemployment rates where they are it almost seems like you have nothing to lose. There is an info-graphic I saw a few months ago that I think describes what I’m trying to get at brilliantly.   So while I personally think that venturing off on your own and starting your journey as...
