Tapjoy continues to lead the way in device threshold

Tapjoy continues to lead the way in device threshold

Even with Tapjoy’s former CEO Mihir Shah resigning last week or so,  Tapjoy has announced that its network has ‘crossed the 1 billion device threshold’.  They’ve also added more than 500 million devices in these last 8 months alone.   Also, despite major controversy, with many parties criticizing Tapjoy’s network – (for incentivizing consumers to download other apps within its network with rewards such as virtual currency – for manipulating app rankings).   New CEO Steve Wadsworth had this to say,   “This achievement is just the beginning for Tapjoy. W3i also found that the UAE and Japan were the most lucrative markets with 55% of revenue in the UAE coming from the $19.99 transactions, and 43% in...

Who needs Project Glass when you could have Project Contacts?

Who needs Project Glass when you could have Project Contacts?

Augmented Reality Contact Lenses Seriously.  Just this year at Google IO conference we were thinking that the coolest thing since sliced bread soon to come would be Google’s Project Glass. Giving us the ability to have a screen projected into our retina for augmented reality.  And then, not too long ago I stumbled upon this movie:   And I sat there thinking to myself..   Damn, that would be cool – but it’s probably still going to be ‘a while’ before tech can create this type of stuff.  I mean, after-all having Contact Lenses that augment your reality is really bridging the gap and creating singularity.   So as I was doing some research today, I saw something that absolutely blew my mind (which is probably why you’re here). Imec, (the creators of the LCD display technology) allows the use of almost all of the contact lens surface, unlike LED-based applications that only enable a few pixels. Imec also says, the technology will work for a range of pixel sizes...
