FreshDesk launches free SDK for in-app customer service for iOS Apps

Since Apple has yet to introduce any feature to allow developers to handle customer support and rankings...

Startup Feshdesk, creators of the cloud-based help desk software, introduced a product today that provides direct, in-app customer support for iOS developers.

Note: Google has already provided these features to their developers back in June for Google Play.

The "MobiHelp" SDK Freshdesk is providing for FREE allows developers to implement customer support directly within their iOS apps with A SINGLE LINE OF CODE.

This will allow developers to not just respond to comments in the store like Google Play, but also communicate directly with their users from within the app.

Previously you basically just had to watch your reviews on the appstore and note why some people are rating it 1-3 stars vs the 4-5 range.

"

Freshdesk converts each user feedback into support tickets where developers can mark status and manage their progress. Further, MobiHelp automatically pulls in the user’s app and device ID so that developers receive fine-grained details about the user’s environment… MobiHelp constantly monitors for crashes and sends automatic crash reports directly to the developer. This is monumental for developers looking to tweak a problematic code before it drives away crucial users. These crash reports are aggregated along with the customer support tickets coming from within the application… In addition to in-app support, developers can use Freshdesk to support users through traditional channels like email and their website, and even proactively engage them on social media.

"

On Another note for Apple:
They've recently put the delivery dates back on LTE iPad mini orders.  Customers are seeing November 21st as shipping date.

Among other companies, they've also donated 2.5 million to the Red Cross towards victims of hurricane Sandy.

I'm still shocked at what Uber did..

Best,

Kevin
