Tech Futures Group
is the equivalent to SBA for Tech Companies
In follow-up to my article I wrote yesterday, I also had a chance to talk with these guys at GMIC as well. Initially given my experience with what SBA has to offer, I wasn’t as interested but after doing a little research on their website.. I found that they actually have quite a bit to offer. All at the incredible price of: FREE.
The Tech Futures Group (TFG)’s mission statement is as follows:
The Tech Futures Group is dedicated to fostering an innovative economy
by advising qualified technology companies – at no cost – how they can
raise capital and therefore create high-wage jobs.
”
TFG provides strategic advisory services to qualified technologists and technology companies to help them get to the next level. TFG’s focus is on assisting with the commercialization of technology products or services and with the preparation of raising funds. TFG charges no fees for its services and takes no ownership interest in client companies. TFG’s charter is to help technology companies start, grow, and thrive.
TFG is committed to helping develop qualified technology-based companies. Advising services are offered at no cost to clients, which is made possible through funding provided by the SBA and other private entities. TFG is able to work with a set number of clients at any one time, and therefore requires an application to be accepted. Clients are accepted on a three-month basis initially with the possibility of renewal based on client’s commitment to the strategic direction as outlined by TFG Advisors.

So as I said earlier, generally I didn’t think “too highly” of SBA offered programs, but then I had a look at their Advisor Team.
..and I have to say, I am quite impressed at the people they have on board as Entrepreneurs in residence. Additionally, I think it’s worth mentioning what services they offer so you can determine whether or not you want to inquire further.

Yeah..quite a mouthful, but that’s a good thing (in this case).
Any way, if you want to find out how they work you can do so at the provided link, in the meantime I’d give another once over of the list of “services offered” I just mentioned. Just remember, there’s always help out there as long as you’re willing to look for it.
Here at Mobile Minute we do our best to provide you the best resources available, and make sure that the minute they become available, you’re hearing about them.
Best,
Kevin
