Top 5 Apps of the Week – November 3-10, 2012

MobileMinute will be

doing a weekly 'Apps of The week'

 
Which will include the 5 most noteworthy Apps of the week on Apps we think are.. well, the most "noteworthy".  
 
So let's just jump right in! 🙂
#1)  This one is leaps and bounds and  even "worlds" ahead of the competition - yes, I am talking about.. Angry Birds Star Wars edition.
 
 
Rovi's Angry Birds - Star Wars launched yesterday and in 2 1/2 hours hit the #1 spot in the US App Store.

A little Angry Bird told me that this Star Wars edition has beaten all its previous records.  The game is also currently topping the U.K. iOS App Store paid app chart.
 
#2) Wreck-it Ralph
 
The reason I mention this one, is because I actually thought it was a brilliant idea on Disney's behalf to deploy the app 1-2 months before their movie actually hit the big screen.  In addition to their trailiers, PR, advertising, creating an app without saying goes to increase user awareness and engagement.
 
I imagine this App staying in the top 25 for at least a month until after the movie stops showing in theatres - and I suspect once it hits DVD Disney will throw-down another chunk of change to get it back up so people can be reminded to go BUY IT on DVD.  Good thinking ;).
 
#3) Action Movie

This app is probably the coolest thing I've seen since sliced bread.  Being a film grad specializing in 3D Animation and Visual effects and knowing HOW MUCH work goes into creating the types of effects Action Movie allows you to create in a matter of seconds is simply AMAZING!
 
It works on a freemium model where you get around 5-10 effects for free, and have the ability to purchase more.  If you haven't tried it out yet, I highly recommend you do - it's really fun!
#4)  Evernote

At the bottom of the article I published yesterday I mentioned that Evernote just revamped their entire UI in their 5.0 Update.

 

Evernote is one of those MUST HAVE productivity apps it basically allows you to..

 

Take notes..

Record Audio

Take pictures

insert links and use basic HTML on the notes actually, I'm using Evernote RIGHT NOW to write this.

You can record audio, and take notes at the same time.  To me, when I'm at events learning stuff for you guys, this is priceless.  In any case, check it out - I'm sure you'll love it.

#5) Last, but certainly not least.. Makeup Match Me

 

Is a new Makeup App for women to help them match the perfect makeup with their outfits, complexion, and all that other girly stuff.  You can see their demo video below

Their App will be making its debut in about 4weeks, so make sure to connect with them on Facebook so you can get your hands on it when it does.
