New Apple Patent for LockScreen Features
Apple, like most big tech companies (Samsung, Google, LG, Panasonic, etc..) file a lot of patents for inventions that will likely never come into fruition. Today is no different, Apple has published documents to the U.S. Patent and Trademark office discovered by PatentlyApple, see image below. One of the more noteworthy features is the newly animated lock-screen which would allow quicker access to frequently used apps via new animated feature accessible through a home button that could also recognize pressure input. Sure some might argue that this isn’t something Android hasn’t already had for years, but can you imagine it being on an iOS? It’s about time if you ask me. These new features will surely help iOS users bypass having to input their security pins just to ‘access’ the things that they should (in theory) already have access to from the get-go.
