If you’re a user on facebook chances are you received an email that looks similar to the one below.
If that is the case, do not panic.

You may not have to actually do anything, nor were you likely involved. The email relates to individuals who may have been featured in a ‘Sponsored Story’ Ad showing the users names, profile pictures, photographs, likeliness, and more – prior to December 3rd.
If you’re not aware of what a Sponsored Story is, the short version is: An ad that uses your interests to advertise directly to your network that facebook holds.
