Apple getting into MicroLending? New Patent suggests that may be the case.

Apple getting into MicroLending? New Patent suggests that may be the case.

While it may seem a little far fetched, a new patent applicaiton published yesterday by the United States Patent and Trademark Office The patent outlines a system whereby a user would post requests for small amounts of cash using their iPhone, where other nearby users could respond to to provide some quick funds in the event that no other option is available.

Historically Apple has stuck with either refinements or extensions of their existing technology.  This method however, would be an entirely new path for Apple, and it will be interesting to see how it might come to fruition.  The patent was originally filed in July, 2011 and published by the USPTO yesterday, and spotted by Unwired.
