Rise of the Angel Investor [INFOGRAPHIC]

Rise of the Angel Investor [INFOGRAPHIC]

As a start-up founder, co-founder, or entrepreneur maybe you have imagined how awesome it would be to go into an event and be able to instantly tell through some devine magic who were the exact people you needed to talk to give your company the financial jumpstart it needs.  Maybe you thought that the only way to obtain these types of ‘magical’ talents was through learning as much as you can about the industry,

(particularly fund-raising and all the types of ’rounds’ that accompany it so you could impress your prospective investors with the language you think they expect you to know)

what types of business models exist, what types of traffic channels deliver the best results, and so forth..

..Certainly..these are all good subjects that should be studied as a start-up founder/entrepreneur.

..But.

What if there was an easier way?

..I imagine that right now you’re feeling a bit like Alice. Tumbling down the rabbit hole?

I can see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he’s expecting to wake up. Ironically, this is not far from the truth..

..Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know, you can’t explain. But you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life. That there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. Like a splinter in your mind — driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.

Do you know what I’m talking about?

..it is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, or when go to church or when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

What truth?

The truth that is about to revealed to you in the infographic below.  The truth that could have you realize that the average angel investor is 47 years old, makes $90,000 a year and only invests in 1 out of every 10 deals they see.  They invest $37,000 into each deal, and..they live here.  In California.

The truth is that these angels do not have wings.  They do not have halos.  They DO however have, Incubators and Accelerators.  In 2011 Angels funded 66,230 companies.  This equated to $22.5 billion in entrepreneurship funding in America.  Up 84% from $15.7 Billion in 2002 with 36,000 funded companies.  Let the truth be seen in the Infographic brought to you by the folks at Investor Pitches below.
