Google Glass – One Thing You Probably Haven’t Heard Yet
With all the buzz that myself and the rest of the tech/mobile blogs out there have been creating for Google’s Project Glass as of late, there’s something that I stumbled upon that many of you may not have even thought about – yet. Something that was actually spotted after an ‘extensive look’ of the device by The Verge. It is said that,
“The device gets data through Wi-Fi on its own, or it can tether via Bluetooth to an Android device or iPhone and use its 3G or 4G data while out and about. There’s no cellular radio in Glass, but it does have a GPS chip.”
While it’s unclear what this type of compatibility will entail, it does infer that Glass will be able to use iPhone’s data connection. It was previously acknowledged that Google Glass will be able to send text messages, however whether it will work with an iPhone in this manner has not been determined.
As an UPDATE to my article I published yesterday – 9to5 Google is reporting that the Glass wil be sold in Google Stores in the U.S. which are planned to open by the end of this year.
