BlackBerry 10 Launch – 83% of Those in US Weren’t Even Aware
Six years ago Apple took the smartphone industry by storm with the release of the iPhone, former market leader BlackBerry, has also just recently launched the Z10 (which many think could be a main competitor to the iPhone – alongside the HTC One).
The problem is that not many seemed to have noticed. A recent survey by MKM Partners revealed that an astounding 83% of Americans did not even know that BlackBerry had launched their new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone (or new Blackberry 10 platform, for that matter).
It was also discovered today that BlackBerry is the most undesirable smart phone, with 71% of people saying they wouldn’t consider getting a BlackBerry under any circumstances.
Although, this is not to say that BlackBerry is without its own fanboys. Just last month it was discovered that Google’s own Eric Schmidt still prefers his BlackBerry for its QWERTY keyboard, something the BlackBerry Z10 discarded.
