More Than 50% of Mothers Are Mobile Gamers
And if they’re not yet, they will be soon. At least that’s according Mobile Analytics Company Flurry who has released data gathered from iOS and Android app usage during May of 2013 on near 25,000 American owned devices.
According to the data, moms spend an average of 53% (on Android) and 48% (iPad) of their time playing games. When it comes to iPhone however, it is evident that it is only at 31%. Although, when ‘lifestyle app’ consumption is considered it leads significantly compared to its iPad and Android counterparts.
As seen in the images below, the 2nd most popular apps among the 3 devices are in the Social Networking category w/ Android coming out ahead w/ 21% compared to iPhones 19%. One thing to notice is the iPad’s significant lead in “news stand apps” compared to iPhone and android.
Finally, 25% of the American population use tablets over other devices. Of that, 35% are moms.
