Make your App STAND OUT in the Crowd, [Infographic] within

For those of you who..

..have been searching for a promotion strategy for your app once it hits the market.  Search no more.

The team at Blue Caribu has put together a very informative infographic which yields some insights for effectively promoting your new app.

Some of the tips you'll see in this list are:

  1. Choose a GREAT NAME.
  2. Identify your competitors
  3. Select the correct category
  4. Create an AMAZING ICON
  5. Use "advanced" screenshots
  6. Have good copy for your description
  7. Build a GREAT Landing page

------------------------------------Launch------------------------------------

------------------------------------After Launch------------------------------------

PUSH for AS MANY DOWNLOADS AS YOU CAN in the first few days after the launch.

(If that last sentence above isn't clear after seeing this, then send me an email and I'll show you exactly how to set up an app launch strategy).

  • Implement Analytics
  • Get featured on Review Sites (Like this one)
  • Reach out to Media
  • Encourage users to share
  • Implement Paid promotion

Get to the top!

You should be targetting journalists/writers/bloggers in your market..and don't forget to share on the popular social networks:

  • Facebook..
  • Twitter..
  • Youtube..
  • PInterest..
  • etc..

Sure this may come off as common sense to some, but it's even more common that app (iOS or Android) developers don't take into consideration the importance of marketing and market research, at least not nearly as much as their product development for their app.  Take a look at the infographic below, I'm sure you'l love it..

  1. WOW!! I love this site!! I’ve been researching countless articles on ways to promote my iPhone app, But this is the BEST website i’ve seen so far! It’s very informative, easy to the eye and very visual! It’s funny because even though some of the points seem obvious, so many app developers STILL aren’t following these points, sadly hoping the work will happen in the App Store. This site has a great system flow based on the pre launch and after launch which i didn’t really think about! So Thankyou for posting this very useful article! I shall plan for the pre-launch!
