52% of users Disappointed by Mobile Sites [INFOGRAPHIC]

Despite the growth of mobile devices, 52% of consumers say mobile sites disappoint, in that they weren’t optimized for mobile, obviously making it difficult to interact with any such brand.

Interestingly, Women were found to be more satisfied with their mobile experience saying that 54% of the sites they accessed were optimized, vs 42% for men.

38% of women did however that that bad optimization (mobile) was their #1 issue. Whereas 37% of men said functionality was.
The folks at Netbiscuits recently revealed that brands actually ignore 52% of device models when developing for mobile.

Eptica VP of Operations Paul Barnes had this to say:

“Over half of us have smartphones, and tablet use is now mainstream, but it seems that many brands are lagging behind consumer expectations.”

And,

“The public demand the same experience on their mobile device as on their PC, but are being failed by substandard sites that are slow to load and don’t fit smaller screens. Many of these are basic issues that companies need to sort out before they lose customers to their rivals.”
