Android dominates iOS with 52% market share but Apple leads in Impressions
Millennial Media (a leading mobile ad network) released its Q3 Mobile Mix report which shows Apple as the continued leader in hardware (iPhone notably being their top device). While they did not see any gain in mobile ad impressions they still held 31.5% for mobile device impressions, which is up an iota of 31.38% from last quarter.
Google’s Android operating system however, accounted for 52% of total impressions (up from 46 % in Q2), VS iOS’s 34% market share.
