Apple iOS 7 Set to Rollout in June, with Full Launch in September
According to reports from both Bloomberg and AllthingsD iOS 7 is set to arrive: “On time” (in June)
While iOS delay rumors have certainly been circulating around the web, with Jonathan Ive heading things up, I don’t think we have anything to worry about. The designs are said to embrace “flat” design methods (leaning towards solid colors and doing away with optical effects that mimic the textures and reflections of physical materials) as well as making major updates to the Calendar and Email apps that come stock with the iPhone.
The main differences we’ll see is a modernization of the UI with the hope of adding a ‘fresh look’ to an OS that’s had roughly the same overall design elements for the past 6 years. Particularly, changes to the basic functionality of stock apps and the look and feel of the entire OS.
With WWDC just over a month away, we’ll see exactly how much these updates will really change things.
