Nokia's Apple Maps Alternative Hits the AppStore
Nokia has officially released their Apple Maps alternative for iOS. The new cross-platform that is based on HTML 5 is called, "Nokia Here". It's now available in the iPhone,iPad, & App Store. I expect the it to be on iTunes within a couple weeks, hopefully before the AppStore Lockdown.
It currently offers users full map views, the ability to save maps for later viewing, cover of 200 countries, search history, Facebook login integration, step-by-step voice-guided navigation for both the car & walking, offline map viewing and other cool social features that allow users to share their location.
Because users are only able to download up to 10MB of mapping data for offline use, offline maps only works with one specific area.
