The Death of TurnTable.FM?
Things haven’t been looking good for the Social Music Discovery site that had an astounding 360,000 new users in their first 3 months. They even peaked at 419,000+ MAU (Monthly Active Users) back in July of 2011. Their valuation a that time was around $37 Million. Now, Soundrop which had its minor debut around October last year announced this morning that it has launched ‘listening rooms on facebook’. Turntable.fm is essentially listening rooms not on facebook. Much like TurnTable.fm.. “artists and fans will be able to create social music spaces where they can listen to music together, chat, and vote on what they want to hear next.” So what’s the difference?
