Additionally the gaming behemoth Gree also expects Android to grow faster in 2013. Senior Vice President of studio operations, Anil Dharni claimed that, the growing use of the iPad as a gaming device was one of the key factors behind the extreme jump in revenues. Twitter study shows its users are younger, more engaged, and easier to market to.

A new Study released by twitter about its “primary mobile users has revealed that these mobile users are younger, more receptive, and more engaged (compared to their desktop counterparts). Mobile-first users are 57% more likely to log-in to Twitter on desktop than the average Twitter user. They’rea lso 86% more likely to be active on Twitter several times a day. Of those percentages, 15% access my tablet first and foremost. The study also revealed that users in the 18-34 range are 52% more likely to log in primarily via a mobile device than other age groups. Also 157% more likely than average Twitter users to open Twitter when waking up, and 129% more likely to do so right before bed. If that wasn’t enough, 160% are more likely to use twitter at school or work, while 169% are likely to use the service while shopping and 3x as likely to use during commutes. Apple Dominating Mobile Video Viewing with 60% Occuring on iOS vs 32% on Android

A new study from video monetization company FreeWheel has revealed that the mobile video market grew 10% Year-over-year from 2011 to 2012, starting at just 2%. Of that, Apple’s iOS grew its share in total mobile video up to 60% while android is just over 1/2 of that with 32%. While both platforms experienced considerable gains in overall video viewing volume 30% of online videos on non-PC/Mac devices occured between Q3 and Q4 of 2012 alone. Needless to say, Apple’s strong lead is attributed to its dominance in the tablet market where FreeWheel says,   “Android has yet to field a competitor that can truly make a devnt in the overall share.”   The iPad accounting for 24% alone, while the iPhone had 30% and iPod touch accounting for the remaining 6%.
