Sometimes in the vast world of Apps we forget about the people that count. Us. Small businesses I mean.   I mean, let’s look at some quick facts..   They Represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms.  Employ half of all private sector employees.  Pay 44 percent of total U.S. private payroll. Generated 65 percent of net new jobs over the past 17 years.  Create more than half of the nonfarm private GDP.  Hire 43 percent of high tech workers ( scientists, engineers, computer programmers, and others). Are 52 percent home-based and 2 percent franchises.  Made up 97.5 percent of all identified exporters and produced 31 percent of export value in FY 2008. Produce 13 times more patents per employee than large patenting firms.     So what does all this have to do with You and Apps? Well.. Could this be part of the new iPhone 5S? Ok, well maybe they’re not the photo’s you’re looking for, but thy are photos nonetheless.  The folks over at electronista were the first to encounter the photos today.   The only real depictable differences from the images are the repositioned screw holes for the logic board.  If the image is in fact that of a new part, (not a discarded prototype) then it’s likely that the iPhone 5s will be less different than the iPhone 4s was to the iPhone 4. At the same time, I shouldn’t speak to soon, I’m simple talking about design after all, not hardware or anything else.   Digitimes did claim however that trial product of the new iPhone 5s wold begin this month with Full-scale production supposedly starting as early as next year.  There is must controversy on the matter given that the iPhone 5 just made its debut back in September.  If Apple is looking to accelerate the iPhone’s update cycle (as they’ve done...

iOS gains 2% market share Android Drops 2%  Facebook alters Messanger App to compete with WhatsApp   According to Chitika Insights, over the last 6 months (May 27th-Nov 27th) iOS has averaged around 65% while android stands around 35%. Most recently, Chitika revealed that iOS is up to 67% while android is back down to 33%. On another note.. Facebook announced today that it has decreased the requirement for its Facebook Messenger app that allow users to create Messenger accounts with only a name and a phone number. The change brings Facebook Messenger into the company of other SMS-replacement apps such as WhatsApp and LINE. Users can now message contacts with just a phone number, as well as share photos with them. In a nutshell.. AppTrace (which is FREE by-the-way) provides ‘sentiment’ analysis for the App Store’s 24 million reviews. AppTrace also lets users search by title for apps available on the App Store and see how user reviews score it in terms of three key criteria: positive feedback, addictiveness, and crash complaints. Additionaly, it provides insights on how user feelings on each of those scores change over time, so that developers can monitor how changes affect reviewer sentiment. One of AppTrace’s findings.. ..is that most apps don’t even have reviews. 529,895 without VS 257,229 with. The good thing is that at least (for the one’s with reviews) is that most of them tend to be positive. Evidently only 72% meet AppTrace’s criteria however.
