According to Juniper Research’s latest report Tablet Gamers alone will spend $3.03 Billion on in-app purchases in 2016. Crazyness. If the prediction is true, this will represent a ten-fold increase on the $301 million that tablet gamers spent in 2012. The surgely undoubtedly is largely due to the rapid tablet adoption and acceptance of in-app purchases with consumers.

Juniper notes that virtual currencies, rather than in-game goods, will generate the highest levels of player engagement and spending.
