OMG, New iPhone September 10th!?

OMG, New iPhone September 10th!?

At least that’s what she said. And by “she” I mean, Ina Fried over at AllThingsD. According to AllThingsD, we should be seeing the device making its public appearance on September 10th. This would not be far off from last years iPhone 5 launch date (September 12th).

What I’m very interested in seeing is if the stock will be able to make its climb back up to what it had previously been this time last year (around $700/per share). Apple has gone through quite a bit of  internal restructuring of their top executives lately, and  CEO Tim Cook has also been receiving some pressure from the board to “innovate quicker”.

Prior to that Apple did a share buy-back when the share’s were at $444, for a large amount (hundreds of millions). Before that, Al Gore made a purchase of Apple’s shares at the price of $400-per, acquiring a few hundred thousand dollars worth.

In any case, as far as “spec rumors” of the iPhone 5S go, several news sites have mentioned speed improvements, a better 12-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, and enhanced battery life. That, and of course stock iOS 7 to make your new phone more fabulous than ever. Apple has also been experimenting with a built-in fingerprint reader for unlocking your device. Aside from that, we’re very likely to see the new iPhone 5C with plastic casing, which may in fact make its debut at this same event.
