Mobile Malware Grows 163% in 2012 – 32M+ Infected Android Devices

A new report from NQ Mobile released today has pulled malware data from 2012 that show some shocking figures. First, malware threats across all mobile platforms grew 163% in 2012.   The attacks were geared primarily towards Android devices, which was the platform of choice for almost 95% of threats according to NQ. NQ says, trends indicate things are likely to get worse before they get better. 13.4 Billion App Downloads in Q1 of 2013

Canalys has released a new report that concludes the top 4 app stores delivered a total of 13.4 billion app downloads for Q1 of 2013. These downloads are across Apple’s App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone Store and BlackBerry World, which are also up 11% from Q4 2012. Flurry Gets into Real-Time Bidding
