New Apple Patent for LockScreen Features

Posted by on Apr 7, 2013 in Apple, Mobile | 0 comments

Apple, like most big tech companies (Samsung, Google, LG, Panasonic, etc..) file a lot of patents for inventions that will likely never come into fruition. Today is no different, Apple has published documents to the U.S. Patent and Trademark office discovered by PatentlyApple, see image below. One of the more noteworthy features is the newly animated lock-screen which would allow quicker access to frequently used apps via new animated feature accessible through a home button that could also recognize pressure input. Sure some might argue that this isn’t something Android hasn’t already had for years, but can you imagine it being on an iOS? It’s about time if...

Sometimes a well polished App just isn’t enough.  More so – many developers with the mindset, “if I build it they will come” will more than likely do themselves more harm than good.  Sure, a remarkably designed app is the foundation of acquiring, hundreds, thousands, and even millions of users..BUT – it doesn’t stop there.  Now adays’ people don’t want to pay for apps anymore.  Seriously.  76% of App Revenue came from in-app-purchases last year, and that doesn’t look to be declining anytime soon.   So then the question becomes.. The twitter you have learned to love, and grow with has received a major update (a good one no-less), one that will be VERY helpful to App Developers looking to run some Pay-per-install campaigns. These “Twitter Cards” will provide...
