It’s been 18 months since Apple’s first mention of deprecating the Unique Device Identifier, and now the company is said to finally begin rejecting apps that make use of UDIDs. Apple published the statement in their developer portal revealing that, starting May 1st, the App Store will: “no longer accept new apps or app updates that access UDIDs.” In lieue of this, Apple suggests that developers update their apps to make use of the vendor or advertising identifiers introduced in iOS 6.
