About a year ago, (November 5th to be precise) I started Mobile Minute with the goal of spreading the word of all the important stuff that was happening in the app, mobile and tech industries . Certainly there were some major events that happened over the past year that had to be written about for the sake of smart content marketing, but I tried to remain true to the mission which is: Mobile Minute aims to provide you up-to-the-minute insights centered around the Mobile industry. Phablets. Fonblets. Same thing. What’s important for you to know is that when it comes to the Android Market – Samsung is king. No really. Take a look at the graph below, and tell me that they don’t dominate the other OEM’s. 63.3% vs HTC which is nearly 9/10’s behind them at 6.5%, LG at 5.9%, Sony at 5.6%, and Motorola at 5.0%. I mean, even if you add all the stats together and multiple them BY 3, they would still not represent the same percentage that Samsung have has. So now that you know by just HOW MUCH Samsung leads among its competitors, you may be thinking.....

Indeed, this could be Apple’s fastest selling tablet yet. As seen in the charts below the adoption curve is almost unbelieveable compared to the launches of previous Apple Tablets. We also take a look at the adoption of the different verions of iOS, as well as the iPhone family and which model currently is the most popular (in terms of usage). Courtesy of Fiksu, for the stats. As can be deduced from the images above, iPad Air sales don’t seem to be going anywhere but UP (for now). iPhone 5 still proves to be the most popular iPhone at 38.4%, while iPhone 4s is not far behind at 30.0%,...

App Analytics company Fiksu has shared with us a great infographic which covers their coverage of over 21 months tracking the volume of downloads, cost per loyal user and more. The monthly indexes tend to focus on the short-term trends. So Fiksu has compiled the indexes since the beginning of 2012 to give you a 21 month snapshot before we head into what’s known to be the BUSIEST time for app downloads, of course I’m referring to what’s been coined by many as “Power Week” the week from Christmas, into New years. Enjoy the...

New data from Localytics shows that users acquired through FB’s PPI on mobile perform just as well as organic users. This could be very good and insightful news to those looking for a smart way to boost their downloads and rankings without having the immediate downfall after their campaign that most experience with incentivized burst campaigns. Since the launch of the platform last year, Facebook has claims to have generated more than 145 million new app installs for developers. Localytics research shows that 81% of app users acquired through Facebook advertising use the new app more than once, compared to 78% of new users acquired organically. Needless to say, this...

Hey now, just because the company went bankrupt and already fired most of their employees doesn’t mean that they’re still not doing great things! For instance, let’s take for instance a look at the app ecosystem with their latest BlackBerry Messenger app. The app has an astonishing 10 million downloads in its first 24-hours. Wow. The app (which is available on both iOS and Android) is said to have hit the top free app charts in more than 75 countries including: the US, UK, and Canada. Certainly a lot better launch than that of the new BlackBerry 10 itself ;). BlackBerry has yet to disclose which OS has what...
