Just 24hrs after rumors surfaced about a “new 128Gb iPad” Apple has delivered.  While all dimensions and physical features remain the same it has a whopping 64GB more than the previous highest end iPad. Really? Really. The Kindle FIre of all tablets is leading the way in the US. Things haven’t been looking good for the Social Music Discovery site that had an astounding 360,000 new users in their first 3 months.  They even peaked at  419,000+ MAU (Monthly Active Users) back in July of 2011.  Their valuation a that time was around $37 Million.   Now, Soundrop which had its minor debut around October last year announced this morning that it has launched ‘listening rooms on facebook’. iOS 6.1 rolling out today on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

This is apple’s newest version of the mobile OS for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.  The update is a 107mb  and can be updated over the air or by connecting to iTunes. Mobspire acquired by Aarki to Improve Rich Media Ad Creation

While the financial terms of the acquisition have yet to be disclosed, Mobspire in an  entirely self-funded startup which was recently acquired by  Aarki  (who raised a Series A round led by Walden Venture Capital last year).  It is apparent when visiting Aarki’s website that Mobspires platform has already been implemented onto the site and being offered to users.   Aarki CEO Sid Bhatt said, “Aarki has already run hundreds of ad units built on the Mobspire platform, with users spending an average of 64 seconds engaging with the ads.”   While most of the Mobspire team “decided to continue on another adventures” Mobspire founder Nitish Aitharaju has since joined...

Android and Apple iOS take 92% market share in Q4 of 2012

Strategy Analytics released a report today showing a 38% year-over-year growth rate which put shipments a 217 million in Q4 of 2012.  The more interesting news it likely that of how Android and Apple iOS account for 92.1% of the operating system market share.  70.1% being Android, and 22% being Apple. Global Mobile Ad Revenues to growing at 400% from 2011-2016

Not to mention they’re expected to hit 11.4 Billion this year. According to Gartner, ad revs were $9.6 billion in 2012 and are set to reach 11.4 billion this year before exploding to 24.5 billion in 2016.
