Apple App Store Downloads October | Apple App Store CPA October Thanks to the folks over at Fiksu for doing an incredibly insightful analysis, and providing charts to provide visual assistance for understanding. Their analysis concluded that October’s searches ‘soared during the month’ but so did cost for conversions. Savvy marketers knew to ride the ‘organic wave’ instead of choosing to pay higher ppc or ppm bids. Fiksu notes that, “Advertising is key to driving up organic search results. In order to get their fair share of any organic lift, marketers needed to continue to spend – but they could do so at a less frantic pace than...
Is AppFlood right for you? A while back I attended this event called the Global Mobile Internet Conference down in the valley. Pretty big. Pretty interesting – and pretty insightful. There was one company that I still remember to this day, mainly because I thought the idea of what they were doing was pretty cool for Indie developers. AppFlood basically provides developers a simple SDK procedure that enables them and their apps to cross-promote with hundreds of other developers. Here are some key benefits: It’s open to everyone. The chart shows that during the month of October 2012, iOS worldwide revenues were four times larger than those of Google Play. iOS’s October 2012 monthly revenues were also 12.9% higher than their monthly revenues in January 2012. Google Play’s...

Finally. Seriously, do I have to say it again? Finally. I mean, you would think that they would have had this technology pre-iPhone 5 release. But no. Apple likes to release things ‘fashionably late’. Any way, the scoop is – they filed a new patent application that outlines charging low-power devices from a near-field magnetic resonant (MFMR) power supply.A few watts of electricity could be transferred wirelessly from a NFMR power source, operating about a 6ft away from the receiving device vs being connected. The patent was published this week by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and discovered by AppleInsider. The filing notes that: “a realistic and practical approach to...
