Tablets Upstage Smartphones Across All Mobile Ad Campaigns

Tablets Upstage Smartphones Across All Mobile Ad Campaigns

A new report from Adfonic has found that  tablets outperform smartphones on both fronts of direct response and branding mobile ad campaigns.

According to the report, (which is based on billions of ad impressions from across Adfonic’s platform) click through rates (CTRs) on tablets outperform smartphones for branding campaigns by an astounding 250%.  Additionally, Adfonic’s AdSnap report revealed that tablets trump smartphones for direct response campaigns.

Lastly, the report suggests that the typical daily profiles of tablet and smartphone users are complementary, with tablet users more active in the evening and clicking more throughout the day, while smartphone users are both more active and more likely to click mobile ads in the early hours of the morning.
