The Apple App Store vs Google Play [INFOGRAPHIC]
Even if Apple only owns 18% of the App Economy it still pulls in near 400% more than Google. $5.1 million in revenue every-day to be exact. Google on the other hand, has about 75% of all app downloads – yet, only pulls in $1.1 million per day.
While there are certainly more insights in the infographic below, it’s no surprise that Google Play has better search when it comes to typos in both name and category. Meanwhile, the Apple App Store has near double the users interested in mobile games (26%) vs Google Play’s 14%.
Unsurprisingly, both Google Play and Apple lead their own App Store’s in number of downloads. The highest price for an app on Google Play is $200, while Apple has an app that is $999. More info in the infographic below, thanks to folks at Kinvey who provide mobile cloud services.
