Ok..

 

So generally, I wouldn’t write an article on this type of app just because I’m not a girl, and frankly these types of apps don’t interest me; nor do they glean any insights I can re-articulate in a deliverable fashion for those of you reading.

 

But..

 

I do have a friend who’s launching her app within the next 4weeks that is essentially a makeup app for women and so I thought I’d look into the Smize App to see if it’s anything similar or how well it was actually put together.

 

And to be honest..

 

I am quite shocked as I sit here writing this with the iTunes Screenshots in the background window.  For someone who has such a high budget I would have expected better graphics and a more appealing UI.  While I’m certainly not going to pay $1.99 to download that app as it has no value to me whatsoever this is how Smize is described in the iTunes store:

 

While it appears to be for both iPhone and iPad the screenshots are obviously stretched and I would imagine that is the result you’re going to get if you decide to purchase it on the iPad as well.

 

Again..

I’m pretty disappointed with this one; especially considering that other indie developers without a doubt are on a far tighter budget.
