Startup Social Holiday Party – 2014

Startup Social Holiday Party – 2014

With the holiday’s just around the corner and Q4 dragging to a close one might ask, what is there to be done that is both productive and fun? The answer is: get out there and network! After-all, it’s not like you’ll be getting as much done as usual with Thanksgiving on your mind followed by Christmas (or whatever Holiday you celebrate during December). So, why not take this time of the year to reflect on your accomplishments, your milestones, your setbacks, and more. If for whatever reason you fell short of accomplishing something you aspired to then what better way to give it another go then with the help of someone who may know a thing or two about what you’re aiming to do? Among the plethora of events happening over the next 6 weeks,  there is ONE event I don’t want to miss. That of course is, the Startup Social Holiday Party. If you haven’t heard of Startup Social’s then here’s a bit of information on them:...

America’s Highest Earning CEO’s in 2012 [INFOGRAPHIC]

America’s Highest Earning CEO’s in 2012 [INFOGRAPHIC]

Do you ever wonder how much money these guys at these big companies make? Would it surprise you that the one’s who make the most are probably people you’ve never heard of? Well my friends, TODAY – YOU are in for a treat (sort of). Snagged an interesting Infographic from the folks over at VB that shows the highest paying CEO’s in 2012. One thing that’s interesting (to me at least) is the continued transition of “Pay per results” salary that CEO’s are now tied to. Basically, back in 2009 CEO’s salary’s were tied to company performance by only 34.7% In 2012 however, (just 3 years later) we see that the majority of companies have adopted a far greater ‘pay for performance’ model where it is now at 50.5%. More in the infographic below for your visual...

Why Wait for Google Glass When EpiphanyEyewear is Here Now?

Why Wait for Google Glass When EpiphanyEyewear is Here Now?

Following a recent visit to a ‘wearable tech’ event I attended here in San Francisco.  I had a chance to meet some cool dudes who are working on some cool things.  I am of course referring to their Epiphany Eyewear product which is basically a pair of sun glasses that allows you to record video, decrease sun brightens with a button, and looks cool all at the same time. If you’ve been holding out for Google Glass, and just CAN’T WAIT to have a pair of sunglasses that can record video (and other cool things) then maybe EpiphanyEyewear is what you’ve been looking for.  Starting at $299 (8gb) and up to $499 (32gb) you can order these bad boys off their website.   Here’s a look of how the device looks in action as I was having a conversation with Founder and CEO Erick Miller,   As described on their website: Epiphany Eyewear is designed with a modern take on the classic thick-framed style. The updated design is both...

30 Most Overused Buzzwords in Digital Marketing [INFOGRAPHIC]

30 Most Overused Buzzwords in Digital Marketing [INFOGRAPHIC]

Saw this one over at Mashable, had to snag it.  After-all, what’s the point of using all these buzz words in the first place?  Why can’t we just have a conversation like NORMAL people?  I was talking with my friend Desmond a few days ago about aligning some strategic partnerships with our lead generation company and those in the direct sales industries and as I was describing it to him he straight up told me, “I don’t care about all that Mumbo Jumbo“. I found this especially intriguing (and couldn’t help but crack a smile as we were talking over the phone) because this is coming from a guy who went from knowing NOTHING about marketing 2 years ago, to now producing over $90,000 a month in affiliate revenue (on-top-of his other business ventures).   That’s pretty baller if you ask me.  What’s MORE impressive, (and refreshing if you ask me – again) is that whenever Desmond and I talk HE KEEPS IT REAL (maybe companies can learn a thing or...

Drivers Expect Apple and Google to Improve Car Safety [INFOGRAPHIC]

Drivers Expect Apple and Google to Improve Car Safety [INFOGRAPHIC]

Seriously.  I am a bit surprised myself at this one, but according to car safety review site CarSafetyRules.com who surveyed 1,000 UK drivers – found that consumers have more faith in tech firms like Apple and Google than car brands like Volvo or Mercedes to improve vehicular protection. 47.2% said smartphones have made drivers more distracted. 35.4% assume pedestrians don’t pay as much attention. 21% named Apple as the brand most likely to develop technologies to improve road safety, followed by Google at 19.8%,  Volvo at 19.7% When broken down by sex, Apple top the charts with 26% women, and 17% men who expect them to improve car safety.   Most respondents chose crash prevention braking and pre-crash alerts as the most attractive safety technologies, with apps that warn cars of dangers ranked fifth, followed by an auto-pilot system.   More in the infographic below.   What are YOUR THOUGHTS? LET US KNOW in the COMMENTS...
