Dan Crow says, “Apple has passed peak”
"I think Apple has peaked and the story of the next few years will be one of slow but real decline.” Crow cites “a number of signs”
This clearly indicates Apple is on a downhill slide. After its stock peaking at $700 back in September up from it's $595 after its iPhone event announcement in late July one would assume this has to do with a few things..
#1 Apple putting its corporate needs ahead of its customers. (it's certainly shown)
As a result, I believe that's why their stock has plummeted since after the iPhone 5 launch.
Why didn't the just give us the Lighting Connector Adapters for free? 😉
#2 (maybe coincidence, maybe not) Reported by Reuters earlier today, Terry Gou went on to say:
"It's not easy to make the iPhones. We are falling short of meeting the huge demand."
What does this really mean? Well I'm no economist, but I will say that when it comes down to it with a brand like Apple if the expectation of a product (in this case its obtainability) is not met by its consumers then regardless of all the hype as consumers we will begin to realize the difference of hype vs quality (customer consideration in this case) and perhaps take our $ elsewhere in the future.
#3 It could be that within Apple own iOS Google has quickly been updating its arsenal of iOS apps—a selection that now provides the majority of Android’s flagship features in a little over a handful of increasingly integrated iOS apps.
Google is doing everything it can to keep iOS users inside its ecosystem even when not on its hardware. It’s an angle Apple doesn’t have, and for Google it’s working.
The questions that arises are:
- How loyal are iOS users to Google services?
- Could you live without Google apps on your iPhone?
- Are iOS Users really THAT upset that Google Maps was NOT on iOS 6?
Personal note: I have used Apple Maps to guide me from short-long distances around here in the bay area and I have to say, 60% of the time IT WORKS EVERY TIME!
I suppose a fourth thing that Apple should be concerned about is Google Search's new voice search iOS by NowNow.
