It really goes without saying (but I’ll say it any way) that m-commerce is one of the fastest growing and unique channels of any retailer’s engagement initiatives with their buyer. With this rapid adoption, especially in commerce, it is vital that your marketing campaigns be more engaging and relevant to mobile users than ever before (especially considering you have a 97% read-rate, WHY WOULDN”T you want them to be??). Today we’re going to be discussing how you can go about setting up campaigns that won’t just get people to “feel good” about your brand, but plainly – make you more money. ComScore’s January 2013 numbers arrived today showing that Google (and everyone else) is losing ground to Apple. For the first time, Android (Google) dropped to 52.3% from 32.6% in October. Apple meanwhile, is up to 37.8% from 34.3%. Between the two, they make up more than 90% of the device share. Upon deeper speculation it could be found as odd that because the top 3 U.S. carriers (AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint) report iPhone to make up anywhere from 66-85% of activations, it would seem Apple’s market share would be substantially...

Over the past few days there has been much news on the new and major changes that are likely to be on their way to your one and only, Facebook Newsfeed. But hold on just one second, this will be Facebook’s biggest change since the platform launched back in 2006. One that reports claim will bring MULTIPLE news feeds (based on categories) such as: Instagram photos, music your friends are listening to, and more.. In addition to multiple news feeds, it is said the platform will have larger photos and image based ads (although this is just a rumor for now). MobileMinute will post updates as the...

Someone once said, “practice makes perfect”. To that I say, “perfect practice makes perfect”. When tracking the wrong things one cannot possibly be expected to make progress doing the right ones. Similarly, in Mobile Marketing in analyizing vanity metrics vs actionable metrics, having high downloads, installs, and CTR’s is nice, but are those the real types of KPI’s (Key performance indicators) that are going to help you move forward in your business? ..Probably not. The good news however is, ther are certain variables YOU CAN measure that should very well increase your chances of success by monitoring and analyizing the approriate metrics. In this article we’re going to touch...

Earlier last week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Fiksu released January Indexes revealing: increase mobile app download volumes, and a decline in user acquisition costs. The report is said to reflect the impact of the holiday activation surge that occured during ‘power week’ prior to when the data was pulled. Traditionally, the new year has been an attractive and cost-efficient time for app marketers to acquire new loyal users. Made evident by Fisku’s data, there was no exception this year showing CPLU (Cost per loyal-user) dropping 11 cents to $1.56, from December’s $1.67. When it comes to downloads, Fiksu’s charts revealed 6.01 million daily downloads in...

By now. Surely you’ve heard of The Harlem Shake from Bauer. No? Then you have to check it out here. It’s pretty much like the next Gangnam Style. What I find very interesting however is that, un-like Gangnam Style the # of viewer generated video responses is subsantially more. Substantially. Since YouTube’s latest Trend Report 2 weeks ago there were over 4,000 Harlem Shake video responses being uploaded every-single-day. The videos that had been uploaded had also accumulated over 175 million views with 40,000+ Harlem Shake Videos being uploaded in total. Interestingly enough, this article is NOT about the Video. It’s about The App. The Harlem Shake App...
