Samsung Galaxy Grand revealed.

Samsung Galaxy Grand revealed.

That’s right the newest member of the Galaxy family has arrived. The Samsung Galaxy Grand is a 5 inch display, but unfortunately is relatively low resoluation at 800×480 (WVGA) while it is paired to an unspecified 1.2ghz dual-core processor, instead of quad-core exynos processors which are already on both the Galaxy S3 and Note 2.   The Samsung Galaxy Grand comes equipped with 8GB of user memory and can support a microSD card up to 64 GBs. Sadly, the front-facing camera is a disappointing 2-megapixels, while the rear camera sits at 8 megapixels.Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, the radio however, is only 3G. The Galaxy Grand will be available in a dual-SIM version as well as a single-SIM model.   The Galaxy Grand will be coming equipped with Androids 4.1.2 Jelly bean operating...

And.. needless to say, I think it will be there for quite some time. Wit the # of active mobile devices and smart phones, people have a lot of downloading to do.   Google’s very own Jeff Huber had this to say,   More than 10 million downloads in less than 48 hours after release! YouTube Capture – Coming to an App Store near you.

YouTube Capture – Coming to an App Store near you.

The YouTube Capture app will let you record a video clip and immediately afterwards write a caption, select the networks you want to share to, and publish. One noteworthy feature the app has is that it will continue to upload your video in the background even after you minimize the app! Additionally, you can set the usual YouTube privacy settings (private, unlisted, and public). The app also has the usual YouTube enhancements such as: color correction and stabilization, while also letting you “trim the length and add free background music from YouTube.” The most interesting thing here is that the app not only lets you upload your videos to YouTube – it also supports simultaneous uploads to Google+, Facebook, and...

Social Gaming Network has the answers!

Social Gaming Network has the answers!

More specifically, the answers regarding “developing once and publishing everywhere”. CEO Chris DeWolfe who also happened to of co-founded Myspace has said that 2012 will be “the year of convergence”. The goal of the new platform is to enable SGN’s developers(and eventually third-party developers, as well) to build games that can run on Facebook, iOS, and Android. The process, DeWolfe states, isn’t quite as simple as developing a Facebook game and then instantly converting it to mobile, but compares it to the normal porting process, “it is like hitting a button.” (More concretely, SGN said that MasterKey can save up to 80 percent in conversion time.) “You shouldn’t force a developer to either build on Facebook or on iOS or on Android, and make them decide on one,” he said. “That puts the small guy at a disadvantage.”     DeWolfe acknowledged that social and mobile game mechanics aren’t interchangeable, and that some Facebook games wouldn’t make sense on mobile. He did point out however that, casino games like Bingo Blingo as one category where the...

iOS 6 Adoption grows 29% after Google Maps release.

iOS 6 Adoption grows 29% after Google Maps release.

Seriously. Apple Maps was that bad.   MoPub Ad exchange that supports over 12,000 apps saw a 29% increase in unique iOS 6 users just five days after Google Maps for iOS hit the App Store. Despite that fact that only 0.2% (According to Chitika) of people decided to jump on board immediately within 48hrs (over the weekend) Which by the way.. had over 10 million installs in the first 48hrs.   MoPub’s CEO went on to say,   “we observed since the launch of Google Maps for iOS 6 a 30 percent increase in unique iOS 6 users, and we think it’s related to Google Maps. It verifies the hypothesis that people were actually holding back to upgrade until Google Maps was available.”   Needless to say, with Apple’s embarrassment aside, this opens up the doors for more people to jump on board the iPhone 5 band wagon knowing they have a dependable maps app...

Facebook gives ability to install apps directly from Ads in iOS App

Facebook gives ability to install apps directly from Ads in iOS App

WOW! This has got to be the coolest new update facebook has made for developers since like.. forever. Facebook has officially announced on its Developer blog today that it is going to allow uses to install apps without leaving facebook.   “Mobile app install ads drive installs by taking people directly to the App Store or Google Play. Now, people on iOS 6 can install an app without leaving their Facebook experience. When they click on an ad, the App Store will appear in another dialog box. After installing the app, they will be able to continue where they left off on Facebook.” Furthermore, you’ll be able to Access App installs by demographic. And last, but not least you’ll be able to receive app insights to provide demographic breakdown of all app installs on mobile.   If you are using Facebook’s latest SDK, you can now measure total new installs by age, gender, and country. All information is aggregate and anonymous, and developers will be able to get a...
